What is this forums position on generated text when posted into threads?
I perceive a reversal of responsibility, it seems to have shifted to the reader to sort out the relevancy of AI answers. This isn’t wrong per se, negating relevance also yields insight, but there’s a difference in verifying a small paragraph vs long gpt answers as they’re currently in style.
I ask for a reminder in the forum faq on the posters responsibility for how gpt answers can be incorporated text inline (vs a share url) and revise or delete a post when it is highly unverified.
Here’s how other forums handle it:
- home-assistant: shutting it down
- mozilla: elaborate policy on Accountability, Authenticity, False authority, Transparency
- nomadgate: user must use a specific detail wrapper and a custom flag option is offered for unmarked LLM content
