Hello,
I bought a Fairphone Generation 6 running Fairphone OS.
LineageOS (which I’m very used to on my FP 4) hasn’t been developed for the FP 6 yet, so I manually installed /e/OS – the version is mentioned in the subject line of this post.
The system update just offered me the MURENA version of /e/OS 4.0. I downloaded it, restarted the phone, and disaster struck: a screen (I’m sorry, I didn’t think to take a photo) appeared telling me that the update was impossible and that I needed to perform a reset… I found myself back at the starting point of the installation of version 3.7.3.
I tried again and the same thing happened.
Just to let you know, when I start the update, version 4.0 only appears very occasionally.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.
Christian
Download his link to your phone. Go to the System updates, press the three dots top right and select Local Update, then find the file you download from his link, touch it and install the OS.
I can’t say whether that’s safe…
Yesterday I did it like this: I downloaded the link directly in FP6, then selected local update in the Update Manager, then clicked the download file, and followed the dialog.
.I follow your solution proposal to download the file in Builds – Django REST framework.
I tried through “the threee little dot” in local install and again it didn’t work at all. I had to do another factory reset (the fourth in two day) and reset completely my phone.
don’t have anymore confiance in this update 3.7.3 wich doesn’t work at all on my FP6 I won’t try anymore and will wait the arrival of LineageOS for FP6.
