FP6 e/OS 3.6-A15 restart on its own under certain circumstances

My brand-new FP6 with e/OS pre-installed from seller restarts on its own many times a day.

It does so even in safe mode!

My first thought is to send it back to the seller, so I write to customer support to request a return.

While on a few days’ vacation in Italy, I realize it doesn’t restart any more!

My diagnosis: either the 5G provider is the issue, or it’s the Wi-Fi.

The italian router is a TP-Link Archer MR600, and I’m using 5G roaming with TIM.

Back at home, I run the FP6 without Wi-Fi (5G with Salt), and it doesn’t reboot.

I then tried replacing my carrier’s (Salt in Switzerland) unbranded Wi-Fi router with an Asus Rt-AC68U router, and my FP6 worked perfectly.

All three Wi-Fi networks (including the faulty one) use 802.11ac with WPA2 Personal.

Despite my messages to e/OS support, including the details above, I never received a response from them…

I have similar issue with two phones on /e/OS.

First a Xiaomi Mi 9T with OS version 3.6-a15 davinci. Sometimes it turns off alone without notice and then it can’t be started up again from the power button. I need to launch from fastboot (volume down + power) and then restart the phone to make it start. No root.

Second OnePlus Nord with /e/OS 3.7-a16. Exactly same issue, it was the first of my two phones that had this behavior. I thought at first the the battery was dead and I ordered a new one but it seems that it was this same bug. I could start it back by launching to the fastboot mode and then restart. No root either.

I’ll had this comment to the thread for the bugs on Feedback for v3.6 - #14 by Manoj
