Hello, I have bought a Fairphone 6+ recently with Murena /e/OS, and I have some strange lag on my system. It does not depend of the application. Many applications have this kind of lag: my phone is not usable for five or six seconds.
I have been using the phone for six days and I have already got four of those lags: once on Signal, once on a webpage using the default browser and two on gallerie (the default image browser : org.lineageos.glimpse)
OK, I’ll try that. But the phone is working fine just after the lag, so I don’t think the reboot would change anything.
Also my version of Android is “4.1.3-a16-20260812653943-official-FP6”
I didn’t install much application on on my phone. Signal, whatsapp, my bank application, keepass, galaxy wear and I have configured an email on the provided email application. That’s all.
I have imported my contacts, SMS, phonecall logs, Signal and Whatsapp histroy, and some of my pictures from my previous phone. I have installed a uSD of 512GB.
Seeing the same on OnePlus 9 (lemonade) with /e/OS 4.2 A16.
Do you have Smart Launcher installed by any chance? That’s my top suspect at the moment for these random system hangs. Sometimes it even puts on the lock screen while I’m right there using the phone, or I see all the desktop icons disappear and everything is unresponsive until I go into the Settings via the little button on the Quick Settings shade and then press Home again. Really insane stuff.
You might also Search FP6 Reboot. You would be more interested in comparing with e-4.1 reports. Maybe your phone is subject to some “similar stress”. The early reports seemed to be due, loosely speaking, to carrier issues in some Regions.
More generally fp6 has had improvements through 4.1 → 4.2 → 4.3
