FP6 - SIM detected but no calls or mobile data (Mobile Vikings, Belgium)

Device: Fairphone 6 OS version: /e/OS [BP1A.250505.005] Country: Belgium Operator: Mobile Vikings

Issue: SIM card is detected and shows “Mobile Vikings” in network settings, but I cannot make calls (error message) or use mobile data. WiFi works fine.

What I’ve tried:

  • Manual APN settings (internet.be and base.be)

  • Manually selecting Orange BE and BASE networks

  • Switching network mode to 3G only and 2G only

  • Airplane mode toggle

  • SIM works fine in another phone — confirmed not a SIM issue

Notes: I’ve seen other reports of similar issues on FP6 with Belgian operators. This seems to be a known bug. Any fix or workaround would be appreciated.

Same problem here with Swiss operator Sunrise after updating to 3.4 (and subsequently 3.5): SIM card not working after update
