Since upgrade to 3.2 on my fairphone 5 I can’t connect to my SMTP free server. IMAP works nice.
I keep same parameters before, but I have an authentication error. I tried others configuration to test but each time same message.
I have deleted the account on the fairphone, and same result …
Someone can help me ?

only old issues come to mind
/e/OS had this behaviour for some versions where I don’t know if it can still occur: overwriting mail credentials. Turning of the “Mail” type in the System Settings → Account → Sync settings helps and then making sure the creds are proper after
Free doesn’t like users connecting through TOR (hide my ip): - do you have it active? would contradict that imap still works, just checking

I disabled hide my IP completely, and I added again the mail account on my fp5. I have just disabled it on mail app, but it seems not suffisant.

so you were using hide-my-ip while sending mail through free? maybe there’s a need to unblock or wait 24h. You use these settings right?
