[Gamepads] Support for Sony's Dualshock 4 and Dualsense

Hi every one,

Android officially supports both the Dualshock 4 and Dualsense gamepads from Sony.
But it seems that LineageOS doesn’t, so /e/OS doesn’t support them too.

It would be nice to have it implemented, via LineageOS, or directly by /e/OS.

I tried to use a DS4 to play on my PS4 remotely via PS Remote Play, and even if it possible to pair the gamepad via Blutooth, absolutely no input is detected.

What do you think about it ?

I’m digging this post up.

I came across a Magisk Module called OneController that brings support for several gamepads.

I haven’t tried it yet because I’ve never installed Magisk before.

Did anyone tried this?

Technicaly, could this module be directly integrated to /e/OS ?

I did install magisk but i never tried this module. Technically, this module can be implemented in the source code but as usual dev will need to check compatibility and adapt it which may take some time… If they decide it’s worth it. Meanwhile you can still install it via magisk but it requires rooting your phone and you will no longer be able to apply OTA update (i don’t know if this applies to /e/OS but on stock rom you can’t).
