Google Pixel 7 pro - sound on only one speaker

Freshly installed Google Pixel 7 pro, with /e/OS 3.1.1 v

Sound plays only in the right speaker. Headphones connections (over bluetooth) are fine with sound in both sides.

It’s not really noticeable in everyday life, as that one speaker is loud enough for a phone (you can’t even tell, unless you’re looking for it), but once i checked, it became obvious the left speaker doesn’t play at all. The issue is not with the music player, as all of them do the same thing, and even the system sounds (e.g. phone ringing) do the same.

Does anybody know if I’m missing a trick? Could folks with Pixels (or even pixel 7 pro’s) test their audio and confirm if this is happening to them as well (in which case it’s a bug), or I am an isolated case, please?

Quick update - playing with the audio balance setting, it seems the left speaker is not completely silent. With the balance completely to the left, I can tell there is some sound coming out of it, but even then, the sound coming from the right is still louder.

I have audio in both speakers, Pixel 7, eOS 3.1.1

Did you have audio in both speakers before installing the update? Could be hardware.

I do not know - it’s not something you notice right away (not unless you’re looking for it). I only had the stock Android on this phone, for less than a day.
