Google Play Pass not working

Hi. I am using /e/OS 3.1.1 on FP4. I have a Play Pass subscription, but there seems no way of using it with /e/OS. On the website in the browser I can see that I have the subscription. Neither the removal of in app purchases work (e.g. in A Little to The Left buying the remaining non demo levels) nor the included priced games are downloadable in the store (still shows a paywall).

Also, there is no category in the app lounge for “included with play pass”, which makes viewing which games are available impossible.

Hi,

If you have a play pass subscription and have connected your gmail account in App Lounge, I think you can download play pass included apps/games.

Same as payed apps/games with another phone that you can download in App Lounge.

No I tried that before posting. I also tried signing out of the app store and back in again to make sure it wasn’t some refresh bug, but that didn’t solve it either.

Ok, I don’t use /e/OS for the moment, so I can’t confirm, but with /e/OS v2, I was able download purchased games and use apps from Play Pass, in App Lounge.

Did you use a Google login or a microG login in settings → accounts?
For me only microG works, Google login fails with message check username and password.

The first thing that stands out (i.e. a large error section) in the error log is:

{
“error”: {
“code”: 403,
“message”: “Request had insufficient authentication scopes.”,
“status”: “PERMISSION_DENIED”,
“details”: [
{
@type”: “type.googleapis.com/google.rpc.ErrorInfo”,
“reason”: “ACCESS_TOKEN_SCOPE_INSUFFICIENT”,
“domain”: “googleapis.com”,
“metadata”: {
“service”: “carddav.googleapis.com”,
“method”: “google.carddav.v1.ExternalCarddavService.XmlWellknown”
}
}
]
}
}

and next and last:

{
“error”: {
“code”: 403,
“message”: “Request had insufficient authentication scopes.”,
“status”: “PERMISSION_DENIED”,
“details”: [
{
@type”: “type.googleapis.com/google.rpc.ErrorInfo”,
“reason”: “ACCESS_TOKEN_SCOPE_INSUFFICIENT”,
“domain”: “googleapis.com”,
“metadata”: {
“method”: “google.carddav.v1.ExternalCarddavService.XmlWellknown”,
“service”: “carddav.googleapis.com
}
}
]
}
}

I don’t remember good, but I think in App Lounge, I connected with my google account, so I probably was redirected to MicroG to simulate Google connection.
