[HELP] Samsung Galaxy S9+ (SM-G965F) Stuck on TWRP / Won’t Boot to Download Mode

Hi everyone,

I need help with my Galaxy S9+ (SM-G965F).

The phone is currently stuck on the TWRP splash screen (TeamWin logo) and does not boot into recovery or system.

Symptoms:

Stuck on the TWRP “teamwin” screen

Cannot enter Download Mode

Volume Down + Bixby + Power does NOT work

Cannot enter Recovery Mode

Volume Up + Bixby + Power stays stuck at the same TWRP screen

The screen shows weird green/yellow lines when booting (see attached photo)

What I already tried:

Holding Power + Volume Down for 10–15 seconds

Trying all hardware key combinations

Charging for 30 minutes and retrying

Connecting USB while booting

Different USB cable and ports

Nothing worked so far.

Possible cause:

It seems like TWRP might be corrupted or the boot chain is stuck, but since I cannot access Download Mode, I’m unable to flash stock firmware with Odin.

I need help with:

1. How can I force the phone into Download Mode when hardware key combo doesn’t work?

2. Is there any workaround like “USB Jig”, OTG trick, or button timing to force Download Mode?

3. Could this issue be caused by a corrupted bootloader or dying display?

4. Any method to unbrick without Download Mode?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

could be more the motherboard (that host the graphic processor)

try first to turn off the phone using only volume down + power
then,
boot to download mode,
and flash the recovery-e

It comes like this in download mode, I also removed the battery. Download mode does not come at all. The screen is OLED, I solve it by increasing the brightness with OLED Saver. This problem is after the wrong rom.

sorry but download mode is mandatory,
try all the buttons at time…

i have had experience with a device that can’t boot other mode than download mode,
i think the emmc module (storage) was dead.

you may have to be unplugged to use the buttons.

did you tried adb reboot download ?

7. Samsung Download Mode Tool

Samsung 300K is a portable utility that reboots your Samsung device into the Download Mode with just a single click.

  1. Get the Samsung Download mode Tool.
  2. Turn off the antivirus program on your Windows PC. Your antivirus software might report that the file has a virus, but ignore it.
  3. Now, unzip the file and open the extracted folder.
  4. Turn on USB debugging on your Samsung device and connect your phone to the computer.
  5. Double-click the Samsung 300K Tool.exe file to launch the program.

Because exynos is a processor ADB does not see it. Unfortunately, USBs made with 300k ohm resistors do not work on this device. It works on older Samsung models.
