How do I uninstall PWAs that were installed through the App Lounge?

I installed two PWAs through the App Lounge but now I want to get rid of them. But how do I do that? They are not in my list of apps. The App Lounge is also not giving me the option to uninstall them. The only way to open them is through the App Lounge itself.

Have you tried just press-holding the icon on the home screen until all the app icons shake? Each removable app should then show a :heavy_minus_sign: minus sign allowing you to uninstall this app.

Or are these two apps not even showing on the home screen?

Nope they’re not on the home screen either. I can only find and open them from the App Lounge. Thank you though

This has been reported before, I tested and sure enough the app was very hard to remove. I don’t quite remember but perhaps try

Settings > Apps > Bliss launcher > Storage and cache > Clear Storage.

The hope would be that the icon will appear. If you do this your icon display, if you self organised it, will default to alphabetical.

This didn’t work unfortunately. I’m not using Bliss launcher at all though. I use Niagara. So maybe I should try deleting Niagara storage? The thing is just that I’m not sure what it’s going to delete

Thanks for the suggestion

Well it is going to delete data owned by the app rather than data owned by you. For a Launcher that is going to be mainly “Settings”.

  1. Maybe it is a Niagra issue if Niagra does not care to save PWA. You will find PWA issues listed for various environments with a www search.

  2. To investigate here you might reinstate Bliss as default to try to eliminate the issue.

  3. In default Browser you might open the app url, try Add to Home screen. Is there a connection with your PWA ?

  4. Contact the PWA devs

  5. Name the app.

I have reinstated Bliss but I haven’t found a solution yet. In the default browser I don’t see any option to add to Home. The apps are two different versions of Google Maps… Both of them listed as having “unknown” origins lol.
