The latest version of Magick Earth has become unusable for me.
The app is completely changed and I give up the trial and error to get sth working.
Plus a lot of nagging about keys and premium membership.
Image that, trying to find the train station in the middle of the night for the last train …
Anyhow, the next problem: I cannot uninstall it, ánd I can’t get at the maps overview to delete them as well.

Somehow you have slipped from default system app Maps (which is legacy maps and is not expected to update). Several forum users did this (intentionally and by mistake) with Aurora store. Name Magic Lane may appear (??).
Please check the appID of the app you find problematic from Settings > Apps … perhaps you have Maps and Magic Earth (??).
I suggest you search the forum for the above terms to see if you can backtrack.
