With USB debugging enabled and OEM unlocked,
Boot to fastboot mode and launch the Fairphone script.

Maybe its better to take it over the weekend, but when i try to do something, the script does nothing asking to enter Y and automatically close the terminal.
My phone keeps rebooting or i can push Volume down+Power to enter Bootloader. Then i can select Recovery Mode→Advanced→Fastboot Mode.
It does expect you to type Yes
and press enter.
Anything else the script will collapse.

If i said it does nothing, i mean nothing!
When i hit Yes the terminal is closing, what i said before.
What are the outputs for :
fastboot oem device-info
fastboot flashing get_unlock_ability
Well sorry, but you typed that you were entering Y alone.

I did a critical unlock and then the eOS script.
I am very glad that i have now eOS on my FP6!!!
I only have to figure it out how i can put a screenlock with pincode, because it looks he don´t save the new pincode. He said that it is already changed but my screen is still unlocked with only swiping.
So, back to the initial point…
Because you omit to do it prior to switch to /e/…

I did the rollback, remove my pincode activate developer mode etc.. and run the script again.
After that locking also the bootloader.
But…Is it possible that i had also delete my wifi connection before?
Because eOS is not able to connect my WiFi.

i did a reset of my router and a netwerk reset on the phone and for some reason my WiFi works!
Thank you for your help and proberly i have to reading better before i start.
After all it is not so difficult and i have learned some important lessons.

Hi, I’m stuck at the last step (chmod +x flash_FP6_factory.sh && ./flash_FP6_factory.sh). The terminal is stuck at ‘Sending ‘bluetooth a’ (812 kb). Any idea what could be the issue?
you may have to use another cable.

An improvement but it has still failed at the biggest file so far.
So perhaps consider at the whole USB chain. It has been reported that certain USB will not carry fastboot commands (or complex fastboot commands ??). You will need a good quality (full capacity) data cable, so not a thin, skinny cable. Avoid USB hubs including any USB hub that might be hidden in the PC / laptop; for best results check, if necessary with a manual, that you are connecting to a USB-2 port soldered to the motherboard.
Also avoid other active programs eg running alongside the terminal.

Just for completions sake: I’m attempting to install e/os on a new fairphone 6, I in particular did not yet insert a sim card - but presumably this cannot be linked to this right? Also, do you think it could be possible that the issue is linked to the fairphone’s usb c board? I had just bought a new high quality 3.2 usb c cable which was explicitly advertised to also allow for data transfer - but none of my laptops recognises the fairphone with it - while my old phone is easily recognised with the new cable….
It can depend on the PC. Is down to avoiding hubs which don’t want to work with platform-tools; hence “soldered to motherboard”.
Fairphone is not specified for USB-3 like many modern smartphones. As I write I realise 3.2 might be wrong for FP6, idk.
Does the laptop / PC have a soldered 3.2 port? I am uncertain if this would be required to get the “advertised” advanced performance from the cable ??
i cannot see SIM card involved with this “data transfer” issue.
