[HOWTO] an Unified Install Guide Project for /e/

Yes I do exactly theses steps, I followed these instructions, but step 8 does not work for me!! when doing step 8, phone does not boot into recovery!
When I flash the e recovery it goes well.
But instructions says that “with device powered off” while I am in fastboot mode, how should poweroff the device when power button is not effective since in fastboot mode?

I don’t know the device, but there is sure to be a button combo which will kill the phone from fastboot. Power + Volume up or down or even both, probably for an extended press.

I ve tried so many times with vokume down or up!!
nevermind I ll change the phone after 7 years of use from LineageOS to DivestOS…
thx anyway

try to install from SDcard or from internal storage, often it works better…

hmmm I ll give it a try, merci beaucoup piero

Hello @Bman, Welcome to the /e/ users forum.

It is in the first post :

concerned people,

please help improving this guide

by proposing device and brand specific details,
also PC OS dependent steps,
links to stockOS download sites and instructions to restore.

thank you,
piero.

Thanks for pointing this out. 2025 changes (it seems) to the way Discourse markdown variant handles links now makes these larger older threads difficult to edit. (Edit having checked the page it was not the anticipated error in Discourse markdown variant.)

Thank you for pointing that, You are welcome to repair.

Potential editors might consult Formatting posts using markdown, BBCode, and HTML - Using Discourse - Discourse Meta and the reference implementation GitHub - markdown-it/markdown-it: Markdown parser, done right. 100% CommonMark support, extensions, syntax plugins & high speed.

Your post, you know better than me which link to what.
It’s the last time I point something out here.

Don’t be discouraged, new eyes are always good. You can easily open the wiki-editable OP; copy and paste all to a text editor. Now you can inspect with reference to the guides above.

@APSchmidt
If it is not you, someone else who know better or at least understand better Markdown code (or “higher”) will fix that.

.

Thank you @aibd for references, and in the past having made the links worked for some years.
I will look into it in the next times.
