[HOWTO] Install /e/ on a Samsung smartphone with Windows easily

Hi, fantastic tutorial, thanks ever so much. One problem though, when I’m in TWRP, the system partition is not there! Why? Where is it? How do I get it to appear there?

.please share photo.

TWRP may not manage “dynamic partition”…
is it present in the TWRP “mount” screen ?

as said in your other topic (Falling at the last hurdle- ADB sideload issue) TWRP is now outdated (don’t manage encrypted /data partition)
recovery-e is recommended !

I’m really not good with tech stuff, but twrp is familiar to me so I’d rather use it if I can. Yes it is present in the mount screen

so try without wiping /system…

.

you can also use the install feature in TWRP to install the recovery-e
(first copy it to your device’s internal memory)

then :

I tried without, but when I open the folders I am overwhelmed with small folders, none of which are my file. I found the same with the recovery file. It’s on there somewhere, but I can’t find it

if you are searching for the “internal_storage” content, it should be in the /sdcard folder.

Sadly not. Just a mass load of irrelevant folders. I don’t know why they’re there. Might have to buy an sd card

these may be the internal-storage folders

but encrypted…

.

why not using Odin3 Windows to install the recovery-e,
then using adb sideload the /e/ build ?

I did as you said and tried without wiping the system. It is now stuck in a bootloop :sob:

Have I just bricked my phone?

you cannot brick a Samsung device by accident, only by mistake

you should have misunderstood me
i constantly recall that TWRP should be deprecated and recommend to use the recovery-e
