I have installed /e/OS v3.6 on OnePus 12r. But i cannot set Security&Privacy > Device Unlock > Screen lock. When i choose PIN and set a PIN after next and Re-enter PIN confirm , I got the message that screen lock was already set but nothing has been changed.
I have installed /e/OS v3.1.1 on mine older phone a OnePlus Nord and everything was OK.
I tried an other ROM ( Project Infinity) on the OnePlus 12r and there was no problem with the screen lock function.
Sorry to say that these are all the classic indicators for Factory Reset Protection. Threads on the subject have the hashtag frp.
All Google accounts, passwords and PINs must be removed from the phone before installing /e/OS.
The fix is to return to the original Google Android system, make contact with the Google account, remove it and all passwords and PINs then make the /e/OS install again.
Thank you Aibd for answering. With project infinity i had no problem. Maybe do you know how I can return to the original Google Android system ? I do not have the Stock ROM. Ihave no backup.
yes, Project Infinity has two ROMs one with Gapps and one without Gapps but I could not install the one with Gapps because of Timestamp errors in the ROM (fault 51) so i have to look for an other ROM with Gapps.
Probably you do need to go back to the ROM where you did have a Google account.
Was this manufacturer stock ROM?
For stock ROM this would be a place to start your search
Edit @ReneVre if a reliable source of the stock ROM really cannot be found then imho it would be experimental whether install of Lineage with Gapps might work.
I finally found the pixelos rom in which i could use my Google account to set screenlock to None.
Afterwards i could install /e/os and set screenlock and fingerprint recognition. So i am very happy now.
