I installed the dutch IKEA home smart app tot control my lamps. After the usual clicks on Agreement (y) and analytics permissin (n) the app stucks on ‘ sorry, that wasn’t intended’.
Got the exact same issue with FP5, /e/OS 3.7 (Android 15) : it used to work just fine, but then I deleted the stored data + cache in order to check something (oh I definitely shouldn’t have done that ).
I turned a few knobs in the Settings > System > MicroG/App compatibility section, to no avail (changed the phone profile to native, Nexus 5, emulation arm, Motorola Moto G + stopped app certification + installed anonymously our with a Google account)
I’ll try a few other things, but it’s really really annoying
Also ! The app works on a friend’s phone with the exact same specs, except this friend wasn’t stupid enough to the app’s data : so it’s really a first connection issue
To be noted as well : I deleted the data because I kept having an in app notification about some network check (everything is connected, I assume they just wanted to update the bridge thingy); when I clicked on said notifications, all I got was the exact same message as you right now
Downloading an old APK of the app, setting everything up, and then updating the app from app lounge worked for me as a workaround. It seems like Matter devices need a Google account if you’re setting up on Android, so I had to borrow my partner’s still Googled phone to do the initial setup of the devices.
Thank you so much, it worked ! I used this apk, and proceeded to connnet to my hub that was already configured. The update from App Lounge broke nothing as well.
