Is someone able to use the Fairbuds app?

It’s impossible for me. FP6, /e/OS 3.2 and Fairbuds app 3.3. The app crashes when trying to connect with the Fairbuds XL. They work without issues directly on Bluetooth. The permission to check for local device (the only one requested by the app) is on.

Any idea?

Thanks!

That’s what I wanted to know. So use it like this. What does the app bring you - except two damned trackers?

I agree concerning the functions. But it’s the only way to update the Fairbuds’ firmware I think…

Yes, OK. Check if they made a PC application for that.

My B&O headphones have both, a mobile app and a PC application. And the PC application does the job of updating very well.

I was just able to connect the Fairbuds XL (2025) with the Fairbuds app 3.3. on my Fairphone 3+ running /e/OS version 3.3-community. The Fairbuds app equalizer works.

Have you cleared the app storage and cache before trying again?

Right now there does not seem to be a firmware update for the Fairbuds XL (version 208 or 2.08).

Hi,

I can use Fairbuds App on my /e/OS S10+ with Fairbuds (not the XL) without problem…
But the app is pretty useless…

Indeed I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. No luck. The app crashes every single time. Maybe because my OS is still 3.2?

Let’s see, should not take much more time until you get /e/OS 3.3. :slightly_smiling_face:

Nope. The app is still not working after updating to e/OS 3.3. Still crashing all the time. See screenshot. I do not know what it is but the combination of a FP6 and Fairbuds XL new generation seems not able to work with version 3.3 of the Fairbuds app.
