Is switching an Android Fairphone 6 over to e/OS in any way difficult or risky?

Many people find it easy to follow the flash procedure but those people are skilled with such a task which is certainly not the case of the majority of people used to large audience consumer goods.

in case of the Fairphone 6, we are talking about copy/paste 3 commands..
(just avoid the the web-installer)

installer does not work for all as seen from threads with that hashtag Topics tagged eosinstaller.
Changing to the manual Install method (it uses a script, so not too hard) may be easier than debugging the installer.

This method was really easy and quick to follow. I really do not think that I am an advanced user at all, but I can follow the steps as shown, and /e/ OS was installed in 10 minutes.

relocking the bootloader is only possible If the new system have more recent android security patch than the older.

that is THE thing very important to care about !
