I don’t know any, but even if there is one you still won’t be safer since someone can take a screenshot from the phone screen with another phone (easy to get) or camera, so… or find a way to bypass such feature.

True, but I was hoping something with ephemeral messaging and that it prevents screenshots.

Well… If you know a proprietary app that does what you want – you can use this app to search for an open source alternative using AlternativeTo website.
You can filter the program/app you want by “open source” (in the license area) and “android” (in platform area) and even filter by tags like end-to-end-encryption, secure-messanging, privacy-oriented etc. You might find something. Unfortunately, I don’t know any app that does what you want it to do, neither proprietary or open source.

I only see Snapchat, but you can’t login to it in /e/…
It doesn’t prevent screenshots but you are notified.

In Signal you can block screenshots on your own smartphone. Signal is open source: https://github.com/signalapp/Signal-Android You can download the app from the homepage.

You can set it in:
Settings - Privacy - Screen security (Block screenshots in the recents list and inside the app)

RiotX is another open source messenger: https://github.com/vector-im/riotX-android. You can download the app from F-Droid.
In RiotX you can set this setting:
Setting - Security & Privacy - Prevent screenshots ot the application
