There are a bunch of posts already about the issues with AusweisApp, mainly on fairphone devices. There is also a gitlab issue with unfortunately not much activity.
I have two devices running /e/os.
The app works just fine on my Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, running version 2.9.
It does not work on my Samsung Galaxy S10, running version 3.1.4. The error is the same as in other issues, “Workflow_Card_Removed”.
Same version of the app, 2.3.2, both downloaded from the app lounge.
I am kinda terrified of updating my Mix 2 since I don’t want to lose the ability to interact with my government’s online services.
I hope this is getting fixed soon. This would have been a dealbreaker for me, but I assumed since the app worked fine on my old phone it would also work on the S10.
eyed that issue for some time as things always worked for me in that combination. Didn’t throughly read the good writeup of user @Stargate01 until yesterday, compared git repos and summarized.
I assumed a blob firmware update would fix things, but it’s the nfc subsystem on the AOSP side that needs patching - and LOS seems to use a different stack than FP stockrom (haven’t fully groked it, the build options are pretty nested), so it’s not as easy as cherry picking a patch. Whole thing has stalled.
The proficient users do help themselves on rooted devices with lsposed modules to lengthen the “presence check delay” to give the chip on the card more time to respond - the basic reason a subset of perso cards aren’t working for users.
