Could you share the exact message and at which step exactly you get it? In 3.3, the app was stating that it was not downloaded through play store, right after login attempt, it seems that you have a different issue.
Just an update as well but since receiving /e/OS version 3.4 on my FairPhone 5 I have been unable to logon to 2 banking apps (American Express UK and Chase). Not sure if anything has recently changed to stop this
All options are activated. Played around with the options today. Still not able to login. All my other banking apps (VR Banking, Germany; CIC, France) are working fine.
Just a side comment. I live a couple hundred miles from the bank, but to use other services I would use web connection, not an app. What I found bizarre looking at my bank app privacy ratings in this country (UK) is only 4/10. The German app for the same bank has a privacy rating of 9/10. I would never use or install a banking app on the phone, as if it got lost or stolen I would suspect the banking app might suffer a brute force attack. I will only use Internet banking to setup another account and then revert back to telephone banking.
Hey @Kobus are you perhaps privileged by now?
I registered on the forum to correct the Triodos entry but ran into the same issue as you.
Install from the App Lounge works fine for me too!
Oh hey, maybe I can help out. Iâve been paying on 5.94.0 just fine this week, but there may be different reasons for a violation message.
If itâs alright to troubleshoot here, whatâs the full error that appears? Last time I encountered the issue, I left the dev options open and had to turn it off. Iâm using a Nothing CMF Phone 1 and so far (2 months in) it isnât having payment issues with only my bootloader being unlocked. I havenât felt like updating from v3.2-a14 yet though.
The privacy rating may change each time the app receives an update. The app should then be scanned again with Exodus Privacy. If this has not been done for a long time, and many trackers/permissions have been added or removed, the rating may suddenly go up or down.
So, before installing an app, itâs best to check whether itâs a recent rating or not.
Thanks - turning off developer options actually did the trick. I was able to sign up, now awaiting verification. Will update my earlier post.
This might actually be great - because GCash supposedly allows cashless payments (QR code) everywhere AliPay is accepted, will update once I actually tried itâŠ
