[LIST] Banking Apps on /e/OS

Can anyone confirm that the Deutsche Bank app works on new /e/os versions? it has updated to use in-app verification of transactions and I would like to know it works before buying a new phone. thank you!

The probleme is often not E/OS it is that the developper off banking app block some phone.

The best is to kontakt direktly your bank and also try to use a bank that alow connection via browser.

For me the choise is to change the bank not the os

Hey,
are you using an official build with locked bootloader and microg/applounge logged in with a google account? For me S-Push Tan is working with 4.1 on FP6.

I think you need to be logged in before installing the app.

thank you both for the comment!

it would be on the official build and yes, with a locked bootloader.

I personally don’t have deutsche Bank but my both banks with different tan methods work on /e/os. I installed them via applounge but without an Google account logged in. why do you think this could make a difference?

i just heard that deutsche Bank changed their tan method so I thought getting info and experience on this (for a friend interested in FP6) would be good.

do you personally use the Deutsche Bank app woth the settings you described? what exactly do you mean woth S push tan? is this sms or in-app?

thank you!

Take a look here: [all apps] Play Integrity completely gone with Companion · Issue #3198 · microg/GmsCore · GitHub
You need to be logged in for Basic Integrity.

I am on an official built with a logged bootloader.

Tried to activate a Google account in microg in the SHELTER “ work profile” and it does not run the latest version of the s-push tan app either :frowning:

Did you cloned the app to shelter or installed it with a second instance of applounge also using a google account?

What would be the difference between cloning and installing from the app lounge store within shelter? Interesting idea, just would like to understand the rational

Hi, I’m new to /e/OS (fresh install on Fairphone 6) and I can’t seem to make Boursobank work. Based on the compatibility page it should work with 4.0 (I have 4.1.1) but either the app is detecting that it wasn’t installed with Play Store, or a generic “error” message is displayed. (Installed from App Lounge with main profile)

I also tried manually adding the app to the list of “Hide from apps” (in App compatibility menu) after trying with automatic mode, but that doesn’t work either.

I have a fresh install and I didn’t add any google account (and I don’t want to), I hope it isn’t necessary.

Does anyone else have an issue with Boursobank? It’s the only app holding me back from fully switching to /e/OS.

Hey, I’m kinda stuck too with BoursoBank, but not exactly in the same spot.
The app will open, let me connect (I receive confirmation e-mails) but then will infintely load so I can never reach the actual app.
I’m running a fresh install of 4.2 (community build for my redmi note 10 pro M2101K6G) and I installed the app from the App Lounge. The only difference I have with you is I had to connect a google account for some of my apps. But it shouldn’t have any effect on Bourso.

Yes I have a similar flow, when I put app compatibility to automatic (the default) I can put my password and I get an email notification that someone connected to my Boursobank account, but I have infinite loading too

if i remember correctly there was a post in this forum using the version from app gallery in combination with manually selecting it in app compatibility exclude from microg.

I tried the Shelter trick with freezing microg but then Bourso would give an error and prevent connecting at all.

It doesn’t look like it’s related to microg but I could be very wrong.

I am experiencing the same isssue with my FP6 since I had the bad idea to upgrade from 3.7.3 to 4.2 official yesterday. BoursoBank worked in 3.7.3 with Shelter workaround.

I tried several configurations after a factory reset in 4.2.

  • install BoursoBank from AppLoundge and tick the app in SystĂšme \ CompatibilitĂ© de applications \ Masquer aux applications. I tried in Anonymous and with Google account in AppLoundge. This was added to simulate the workaround but it doesn’t work, at least for us.
  • the previous Shelter workaround doesn’t work with 4.2.

I always get the following message.

I will have to restart my previous Android phone only to use from time to time BoursoBank :frowning_face_with_open_mouth:

I hope @AudeM will provide such a trick to mitigate this issue :slightly_smiling_face:

Newbie in Sweden here. I’m using “LĂ€nsförsĂ€kringar“ bank app. It should have the same notes that is already written on the bank app for Swedbank regarding the bug: “Can’t scan bills with the camera.“

Tested both on my FP6 (rooted, currently with /e/OS 4.1.1 official) and my wife’s FP6 bought from Murena with /e/OS preinstalled (currently 4.1.1 official). But it works fine on my wifes previous phone Samsung S22.

Is it possible to add a new row to the table? There are other options available for Ireland, there are certain Credit Unions which use a mobile app developed by Wellington IT which works perfectly without any issues on v4.2 (and older versions too).

Hi all,

Juste configured my new phone (Gigaset GS6) today, you can add that the TWINT from Wir Bank in Switzerland is working natively.

I have an issue with BCV Mobile (banque cantonale vaudoise) ch.bcv.mobile.android which is just crashing on launch  what can I do to troubleshot that?

Thanks!

Thanks! Got a crash dump now. Where can I submit that? I tried to create an account on the git lab but looks like it’s only for registered devs or members?
