With my FP 6 with /e/OS Murena 3.6 I have a similar problem like before with my FP2 and Fairphone Open OS (also AOSP, but Android 10.2). But the problem is now worse.
How can I redirect the audio of the phone to the car? A Toyota Prius, 2nd generation, Harman-Kardon/JBL audio system.
I can make phone calls through the car’s speaker and microphone, no problem.
But for the first time, I have Spotify, and Spotifiy won’t reroute the audio to the car (maybe it does not want to do that to something that reports being a headset?).
The second issue, and that’s the one that is worse: Murena /e/OS comes with Magic Earth as “Maps”. While that has something that says “initiate a call to route instructions to car audio”, which OSMand, my previous navigator, also had.
But it just doesn’t work. The car’s audio gets blocked by an endless call, but never gets any audio output. And to make mattes worse: Magic Earth doesn’t even output the instructions on the FP6 built-in speaker!
Magic Earth support tells me the version from the App Lounge is outdated (from 2024!), but not updates are offered. Magic Earths wants to investigate into the matter. I have also reported the Bluetooth issue.
So combining the two issues: Is there a way to route all of audio output to the car?
