since last Magic Earth update (1.xxxxx), offline maps are not free anymore.
Should this App be taken out of basic e/os ?

Are you able to confirm whether Magic Earth v1.0.0 came with /e/OS 3.3? Thank you.
Users should avoid allowing App Lounge or Aurora store from updating from any source other than theirs (and avoid Automatic updates to be sure).
Sorry, no. I still have 3.2 on my FP4 hoping the update to A15 will be done by the installed updater.

No it didn’t. MagicEarth stayed the same.

To further clarify for others, I am on /e/OS 3.3 as well and was just able to download a new map in the Maps app without any costs. As mihi implied, the app version number is still 7.1.24.44 … (endless string).
EDIT: Clarified that it is Maps, not pure Magic Earth and not Premium Magic Earth either.

For anyone who reads this, please look for the context TL;DR For problem solving I broke out of the usual ecosystem of /e/OS with a spare device…
I hope there won’t be another new post about ‘Premium Magic Earth’
