Ah ok. Is this some new interface with MicroG that I didn’t know about ? It seems to be what I’m looking for. (Problem with a damn Google Pay account which I have no option but to use).

Please go to Settings > System > App Compatibility

Yes, MicroG self check returns a load of blue ticks which indicate that it is running, alive and well. Adding an account in GP didn’t work for me though, but that’s a different problem.
