Mms undownloadable

Hi
I use signal as sms/mms apps, and I just can’t read (and download) mms when I receive one.
It’s quite frustating. Can someone help me ?

I’m on a fairphone 3.

to download a file in Signal, long press on the message/file and click on the download symbol (the arrow).

Thanks, but that’s not the problem…
I know how to download but it doesn’t work. The mms doesn’t show.

You may have to enter manually your provider’s mms APN (access point to the network) parameters.
Search for it on their website and tip the APN parameters in your device settings

Try to do as Piero wrote;
in my experience I noticed that when I had a virtual operator’s SIM (MVNO), it never charged me the apn settings automatically.
Instead with the SIM of normal operators (MNO) the settings would load automatically
