Most apps unavailable (0B) in App Lounge on FP5

Hi,

I recently tried to reinstall the spotify app from App Lounge on my FP5 but it is not possible. Next to the “Try again” button it says 0B instead of e.g. 110 KB (as shown in screenshot below). Unfortunately, this turned out to be the case for a lot of apps I already have. They are still working but I could not reinstall them.

Does someone know how to fix this? (I already tried a phone restart, deleting the app lounge’s cache, etc.)

Thanks a lot in advance!

This is probably a known issue, workaround that seems to be helping is to reboot the phone when plugged in. In next version 3.3 this should be fixed.

I’m also having trouble with the app lounge. For the past few weeks it’s struggled to give details of many apps, and hasn’t always managed to upgrade. At the moment that’s a problem because my banking app has stopped working and I can’t upgrade it.

I notice that my App Lounge version is 2.13.14. How do you update the App Lounge?

you’ll need to wait for the arrival of /e/OS v3.3 for the FP5 for the fix to land

Hi noam,

I don’t know if it helps, but if you cannot wait for the update, maybe the workaround can help you out as well. You cannot update an app, that you already have, but you can reinstall. (Unfortunately, it might be problematic for banking apps, because they often need registration)

Here is what I did, thanks to the articles vilibald referenced:

  1. Download “Aurora Store” in App Lounge, it is an alternative App store
  2. Open Aurora Store, log in or start anonymous session
  3. Open Settings
  4. Choose “spoof manager”
  5. Pick a model e.g. Google pixel 9a (or another with API 35)
  6. Then you can download any app you need

Good luck!

Thank you @Franzi !

That was good enough to reinstall my banking app, which was the most urgent thing.
