movaHOME, privacy and e os

After long years of disdain, i finally came to consider buying a floor cleaning robot when i saw - naive me - they only come with the usual combo hardware device+ proprietary app, user account, long list of trackers, permissions and the like. And of corse, no app, no game……
When one see that some of those things have camera, mic, lidar to scan the interior of your home i just want to… dunno.
Before i let go the idea and take the mop again, could someone explain me what would be the best practice in E os to limit the privacy damage with a very badly scored app like, for instance, movaHOME? What should one do, make a dedicated email account with no use other than for this app? Utilise it in a shelter sandbox? ……Any other suggestion?

The device does it connect to your wireless (router) in the home? If so it may leak directly over the internet. Sounds like a potentially nasty device as far as privacy goes.
