Hi, I got the FP6 last week and I have noticed that the default search engine: https://murena.qwant.com/ does not work on my phone. When I try to search for anything, I keep getting this message:
My wild guess: something anti-bot (big issue for search engines and any input boxes). Maybe having already a valid non-bot cookie helps.
FDN is a qwant subdomain that is advertised as apiUrlClientV2, so very likely their search API. A “FDN fetch_error” then just means the frontend loads, but can’t talk to the endpoint that gives search results.
I have exactly the same problem. I assumed that it was a teething problem as the partnership with qwant is new.
I am hoping that it will be resolved soon. But at least we can still use the qwant search facility by selecting it as the dedicated search engine. Just a shame it doesn’t work by default. www.linkedin.com/posts/murenamobile_privacymatters-dataprivacy-foss-activity-7340989158309384192
work for me. It still says qwant is unavailable. I tried adjusting country and language in the settings but no change. Unless there is another setting somewhere that i might not be aware of.
This is happening to me now on my OnePlus Nord N10. Nothing seems to fix it. I recently had to reinstall e/OS/ and it was fine before that. Could there be a connection? Thank you.
