New Murena worspace app and data sync with God knows what

Hello ! Here’s the deal :

I never signed up for a Murena ecloud or anything, because I was already provided with such service by a third party Nextcloud provider.

After the last /e/OS update, a suspicious new app appeared : Mureana Workspace. I looked inside and saw I had to sign up with a Murena cloud ID, OR sync it with another cloud account. So I went for it and signed up with my Nextcloud account, to see what happens.

All I can say is : it did something.

I saw in the notif pannel that my nextcloud files were being synched one by one. I have no idea with what or whom, or where.

So I was wonderning if somebody knew where my files were transferred and if they would be so kind as to enlighten me on that subject… so I can act on it.

Hello @Phil140482, Welcome to the /e/ users forum.

I do have an idea when reading that…

  • Did you have a look in settings → account manager → your account → settings ?
  • did you have a look into your cloud files storage

Sounds like it synced to your Nextcloud account. The Mureana Workspace app is not suspicious, it’s part of eOS… Did you let the sync complete and look in the workspace?
