This may be a niche question but Scotrail recently rewrote their train booking app. The launch has been a disaster as the new app was (is) incredibly buggy. For example, you couldn’t sign in unless you had Google Chrome installed on your phone. They have implemented some fixes, including the login issue, and I am finding that the app now works reasonably well until I get to the payment screen where payment options (credit card, Paypal, voucher) will not display. If I try the app on a conventional Android phone - no problem, I can buy.
Does anyone else use this app & have a similar issue. Can anyone cast any light on whether this is a e/OS/ issue or something else? For context, the old (withdrawn) app worked perfectly.
either microg or the built-in webview, but: I tried to get a bit of debug from uk.co.scotrail.app, created an account and read the log output during checkout flow. I see 3 radio button options for “Ticket Delivery”, but neither yields a button to buy - and the adb logcat is completely silent. The app logs nothing.

I can’t scroll past this view beyond “By making this booking..” - there’s no button either at the bottom or within each Ticket Delivery option
If you can get Scotrail to offer a debug build that does a bit of logging I’d be happy to try in both adb logcat and via webview debugging and report why it is failing.
The use of “Google Wallet” for eTicket could be an issue, but then mTicket or Collect at Station should still work as on regular https://buy.scotrail.co.uk where you’re presented with creditcard input fields or else.
As Workaround you can just pin that latter domain via any Browser to your homescreen and do your bookings through that.
That is interesting. I had already reported the issue to Scotrail and await a response. Reading though the 100’s of 1* reviews that the app has on Google Play I think I’m not the only one who has payment issues, though I’m not sure theirs are identical to mine.
As a work around I’m using the Trainline app but this is full of ads, tries to track like mad and charges a booking fee. The old Scotrail app was so much better
