Hello… New here and got a Motorola phone with /e/OS installed.. Im not new to Andriod, so I started setting up my phone.
I also host a Nextcloud server and its sharing out WebDAV to all my other phones as well as my Linux devices using Thunderbird and KMail, so the server works fine.
I have setup the WebDAV account on my phone and it shows that its syncing, but when I try to add the account to my default contacts and calendar app, nothing happens. I doesnt sync or anything.
the murena account type works with any nextcloud (atm), pointing that type to your own endpoint should make it figure out contacts and calendar by itself too.
If you can, tail into your accesslogs where it might go wrong.
Thanks for the reply.. Ill check my logs on the server side, however, Here are some screenshots to show its syncing on this phone. No errors at all. And the Nextcloud application is working - Calendar, Notes, and Files. The issue is on the native app for the phone.
I wanted to post the other screen shots I have showing that the Address Book and Calendar entries are empty when I try to add them to the Contacts App and Calender App, but Im new so I can only embed one image per 15 min interval :-D.
Anyway, is this just an issue with the version or maybe a bug?
As I said in my original post, I have several other Android phones and a couple iPhones connected to the same service just fine with my account and my wifes account. It seems the issue is with the /e/OS software.
I will also add that I purchased the WebDAVx application on my other Android devices but this phone is more of an anonymous phone so I do not want to log into Google AT ALL LOL.
Is there way to just use the Nextcloud App to handle Contacts? That seems to be the only issue at the moment. I Have the Nextcloud Calendar app working fine.
/e/os forked davx to “accountmanager”, no need for additional software.
All I do when onboarding a new device with a private nextcloud is point the murena main account type at the url and it figures out the rest - contacts/calendars.

it should do that out of the box after giving accountmanager (née davx) through Settings → Accounts. Through the widget on the left swipe screen you can go into AMs deeper config and check if maybe some calendar or addressbook has a missing checkmark.
@Joeg1484, it seems your added neither a Nextcloud account type nor a Murena.io one, your account settings show WebDAV.
Moreover, did you try installing the nextcloud Calendar app ? That will certainly circumvent the problem as a last resort.
the murena acc type used to be the same as webdav, but granted I haven’t read the AM code since SSO was integrated. Removing and re-adding that acctype to a private nc still works in v4.2 with regular app-passwords (or mainpw). It auto-discover contacts + calendar. Convenient.
If this fails to show contacts, I wonder if it’s just about cal/adrb selection within AM.
