So, is this the smoking gun? Or where there already convincing statements available online?
I guess it wil not convince my contacts to move to better options because the actual texts seems not to be visible to WhatsApp employees but for myself I’m convinced that we all should leave.
Unfortunately I haven’t found a convincing reason from their perspective yet, for them to move to more secure options.
No need to convince anybody, if you want to leave, leave. If they care about contacting you and being able to reach out, they will ask how to do it (atleast how it went for me 5 years ago). Thoose who don’t ask you, they don’t care what is important to you.

Of course you are right. But I just feel the urge to convince them just like back in the days of 2015 when Facebook changed their timeline and terms of services. And we all know the Cambridge Analytica scandal that followed…
