Hello, I have installed eOS on my CMF Phone 1 and am happy with how it is working so far. However, I have a pretty major problem - as far as I can tell my cell service doesn’t work on its own as an internet source. For reference, I use Boost mobile with a physical sim card. I have reason to believe the phone can somewhat access the service because I am able to make calls and text without WiFi. However, no apps or webpages will load on service. Any ideas or solutions to this? Thanks in advance.
Did you look at the APN setup?
Do you mean under Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → T-Mobile → Access Point Names? If so, when I click that I am told “Access Point Name settings are not available for this user”. Is this something I can fix? Is there somewhere else I should be finding this setting?
Threads on the subject of APN have the hashtag apn. The subject can get quite complex. ![]()
On your APN page (even if “Read only”) you need to see an entry, with active radio button
naming Boost. The following is an example inactive enrty:
Seeing this error does indicate some problem you are experiencing in fully joining your carrier, Boost’s network.
Please check that Wi-Fi is fully working. You need a good connection to try to lift this error.
If Boost already shows as above. On your APN screen do you have an “active” top right 3 dot menu, where you can tap Restore default. If that is a success please turn on Airplane mode 10 seconds and then try for mobile data.

Meanwhile check Boost online documentation for available support for APN settings.
As a eOSWiki > Documentation Suggestions page best to open a new support topic if this becomes complex …
Yes, I have a good WiFi connection. I do not see an active radio button named Boost unfortunately, just the message stating “Access Point Name settings are not available for this user”. Sorry to keep replying here, I cannot find a way to raise a support topic, would you be able to direct me there?
Hi
I tried to install e/os on my cmf 1, in the web installer I get an error that Android 16 is not supported.
Is it so that I must be on android 14 before I can swap it to e/os?
Do I understand it right that the only available version for this phone is based on aosp 14? Is it still supported?
This is the manual install page for tetris. Install /e/OS on a Nothing - Nothing CMF Phone 1 - "tetris" | /e/OS documentation. Latest is currently (fully /e/OS updated) Android14 with a16 somewhere on the horizon. [1]
eosinstaller will avoid the Android version downgrade in case the install might result in a bootloop. Installer | /e/OS documentation
The Fastboot a14 ROM is capable of change of Android version. I do not remember a success report from a16 but a15 downgrade was reported.
[1] See Week 40, Development and Testing Updates hopefully with e-4.5.
Thank you. I guess I’ll try to wait for it.
Hi,
You might not wait so long: it’s planed with the 4.5 release.
