NOthing phone CMF phone 1 install e/os

Hi,

I see several persons having troubles installing e/ on CMF phone 1 but I haven’t found someone with the same issue as me :).

I am using ubuntu and chromium to install e/ with the web installer. Everything goes smoothly untill the connection step. There I see my device “A015” but when I click it I get the following error :

Error on step: device-detection

Cannot execute command connect adb
The device is not connected Failed to connect: Cannot connect ADB No device connected (1)
Proposal: Check connection and that no other program is using the phone and retry.

I saw that this could be that the security patch on the device is too new compared to the one of the installer but I don’t know how to check that and if there is a possibility to fix it.

Any advice is very welcome!

Merci Piero pour la réponse. Je vais essayer cela quand je pourrai (C’est un KDO pour ma fille faut que je bosse en cachette).

J’ai regardé le lien. C’est la partie du début pour faire sauter le boot load qui m’effraye.

il faut que j’installe ADB avec

sudo apt install adb

puis j’ai ce qu’il faut pour les commandes comme

adb reboot bootloader .

C’est bien cela?

Désolé de mon ignorance mais je préfère vérifier avant de faire une bêtise

Je crois que tu as déjà dû débloqué le bootloader lors de ta tentative avec le web-installer,
tu peux vérifier sur l’écran de l’appareil en mode bootloader (tu peux utiliser les boutons) Info about Nothing Nothing CMF Phone 1 - tetris

Je vais m’y mettre ce soir. Désolé de mon ignorance mais je veux m’assurer que je ne fais pas de bêtise. Pour vérifier que j’ai débloqué le bootloader il faut que j’appuye sur volume + puis power à partir du téléphone éteint. Et je devrais entrer dans le mode fastboot. C’est ça?
