Official FP6 3.0.2 build allowing rooted debugging

I’ve noticed that the Fairphone 6 official build allows rooted debugging in the developer options.

Build version: [ro.lineage.version]: [3.0.2-a15-20250627504414-official-FP6]

From what I understand this should only be allowed on community builds (see The rooting docs).

Is this possibly the reason why Play Integrity only meets Basic Integrity and will this be fixed in the 3.0.4 release?

The docs reflect the situation with /e/OS 1.0, i.e. about May/June 2022.
The distinction regarding rooted debugging was resolved for all /e/OS builds from Android 12 on, which came later (first Android 12 S release in the release notes was 1.5.1-s from December 2022).

@ManojHow to root /e/OS needs some updating, it would seem.

Thanks for the quick response!
Makes sense that this was just outdated docs

Then it is a userdebug build. Maybe “cloaked” as user build. Could be a consequence of an early device build out of beta still and be made a real user build at some point.

I was wondering about it here -

To clarify: I’d file it as bug.

I read this differently. As in official / stable stays a real user build

Hmmm … perhaps I got this backwards and didn’t see it since I don’t use official.

@Manoj … Should an official build like 3.0.2-a15-20250627504414-official-FP6 have Rooted debugging in the Developer options?
