I am coming to the expiry date for my Protonmail subscription. I no longer need most of the features except for a secure, encrypted, privacy focused online calendar. I need to be able to put it on 2 different devices so a purely local calendar would not be suitable. Renewing the protonmail subscription, just for the calendar would be an expensive option. And the free Protonmail accounts don’t include one. I am waiting for account approval for a Tutamail free account that I might use for this purpose. But, I would very much like to know what other forum members are using and why they made that choice? Thanks.
Personally, I self-host my own Nextcloud server where I synchronize my calendar across all my devices.
But I also have a free account on Infomaniak ( my kSuite – The ethical solution to protect your personal data ) which allows the use of a single calendar but can be synchronized. However, I don’t know if this is available for all countries.
In France, there is also Zaclys, which offers free or low-cost services, including a synchronizable calendar (in French: Agenda - ZACLYS ).
There are certainly others.

Hello,
All murena accounts come with an online synchronized calendar even 1Go free of charge accounts.
You can access it from two different /e/ OS phones by logging in with the same account OR share that calendar to another murena account using the pen button of the calendar in the web-browser interface.
The shared calendar should automatically appear on the other account’s telephone, if not, in the other person’s phone go into the very hidden account summary → account settings → account manager → click on account email → in CalDav tab tap on both sync buttons that are at the bottom, try also the top […] option to refresh the list of calendars.
All in all, murena eco-system works very well and offers good enough functions regarding cloud sync.
I use a Mailbox.org subscription, where you can store an email address, contacts & calendar… German provider and server. Contacts can also be synchronized via CalDAV and WebDAV.
I am using a Murena 20 GB account. The OS is free, so I decided to open a paid account, that helps them with costs.
I will find out more about the Murena account, free and paid options, which up to now, I haven’t used. I don’t really want to self host. But, 1 calendar that can be shared between 2 Murena phones would suit my requirements perfectly. Do those of you doing this know if it is possible to export a Murena calendar for backup purposes? This is the only additional thing that I would need.
