Hi,
I’m running e/OS 2.6.3 (Android 13) on Xiaomi Mi 10T lite 5G (Gauguin).
About 3 days ago, the OTA update category displayed a new sub-heading “update to e/OS v”. I guess it’s Android 15.
Problem: when I click on this category, the Android settings crash instantly. And if I try again I get the error message “update manager crashes systematically”.
Do I have to upgrade manually (via fastboot) to version 2.9t for this bug to disappear?
e-2.6.3-t-20241219455848-community-gauguin.zip and two weeks later in January,
e-2.6.4-t-20250104459146-community-gauguin.zip
were published, it is looks like an improved version of e-2.6-t was published for gaugin.
Thus you are 4 months behind with a perhaps less than perfect version so not in the best possible position to wait it out for Android 14, I would suggest.
Please just check in your System updater > top right 3 dot menu, that Local update is available to you
then, as said by @piero, you can simply download e-2.9-t-20250325478876-community-gauguin.zip with the phone and have the System updater apply the update, where Local update will allow you to navigate to the downloaded file.
