Have been using e/OS on Fairphone 4 for ~3 years without major issues. Recently upgraded to e/OS 3.7.3-a14-20260506618662 and phone calls get diverted straight to recorded voice bank, the phone never rings. Receiving SMS messages works fine. Moved SIM card to an old Samsung/Android phone - everything works fine (i.e. the phone rings). Can’t believe that i’m the only one with this issue.
Web search unearthed some magical codes (*#21#) that report or cancel forwarding calls but didn’t get impression those worked.
Anybody has an idea what else to try? Haven’t done it before but imagine downgrading the e/OS version might be a possibility?
This might point to some adjustment by your carrier of APN or 4G / 5G which can be dynamically adjusted by Google Android; we have a manual similar adjust.
Settings > Search: Access Point Names > APN page top right menu > Restore Default.
Other threads on the subject APN have the hastag apn.
If you contact your carrier they might be able to see your issue or, if pushed, offer a Network reset or APN reset.
If you disclose your carrier and region others may be able to offer their experience.
This forum Search does find (sort of) similar cases not specific to e-3.7.3.
beforehand, i did perform a manual check of APN phone settings vs what provider published on the web and it looked identical, wonder if there’s some hidden setting (or i overlooked something?)
anyway it’s sorted more quickly than i expected, cheers
