Phone issue if accidentally place in wrong cradle position

Yesterday I was giving a family member a lift in the car. Using Magic Earth to get to their destination, I inadvertently placed the phone so that the left caliper was in contact with the decrease volume button. This caused the phone to repeatedly flash developer “START” screen and alternatively flash to a screen with no heading. I had to remove phone from cradle and force power off by holding down power button and then rebooted.

I am wondering if this is down to a potential flaw in murena’s boot sequence as every time I power on the FP6 the Fairphone logo briefly appears before the murena one. This has occurred with every version of /e/OS since purchased.

Phone: FP6
/e/OS version:
4.0-a15-20260610633983-official-FP6
Not rooted.

I don’t think so. When a non-manufacturer OS is flashed on any Android phone you will see the manufacturer logo during boot. The most likely explanation for what you saw is that you have some action assigned in the settings for a long press to that button. As it was in permanent long press mode while in the cradle, you were probably seeing that action start repeatedly.

Hi, thanks for responding. I never had the Dev mode occurring on my FP 3+ from murena, or the Fairphone logo show before the murena logo on powering on.

Obviously fairphone want to be seen
