Hey @Mathron,
I donāt know if this will help you nor if we have/had the same problem regarding eOS and the Pixel 4a, but here is what I did:
- I installed all the stuff on my computer for adb/fastboot.
- I downloaded the TWRP image that vernr posted here (twrp-3.7.0_12-0-sunfish.img) and put it in the same folder as the adb/fastboot.
- On my phone I switched into the fastboot mode (you can access it via the regular eOS bootloader) and after activating it, I ran on my computer in the console āfastboot flash recovery twrp-3.7.0_12-0-sunfish.imgā.
- After that I could continue with the OpenAndroidInstaller.
