Reactivate a murena.io account

As I had some trouble with the murena-cloud I deactivated it 2y ago.

Now that I upgraded a gs290 to a clean /e/OS-4.1.1-A15, I wish to use murena.io again.

I wish to use it essentially to backup notes, agenda, tasks and contacts, eventually some documents, not photos, nor videos, nor music, nor mails.

The old identifier/password is rejected by murena, but when I try to recreate a murena-account with the same identifier, it answers that it is already used.

This identifier is my usual pseudoname, so, what can I do ?

Did you create a backup account when you first made the Murena account? I think for quite some time we are required to do that.

If so log into that account and then reset the PW or the Murena account.

no former backup-account.
Well, I have just created a new account with an other identifier.

I will search how tu use-it to *backup notes, agenda, tasks and contacts, eventually some documents, but no photos, nor videos, nor music, nor mails.

There is a documentation on workspace, but it does not tell anything about that, nor the differences between sync and backup, and how to manage it.
I had also a look to some doc of nextcloud …

Strange, it seems that the nextcloud-users do not have any question about that : i.e. I don’t want that if I suppress a file in murena-cloud, it will be suppressed also in the phone. (“make a backup of the phone before to connect it to murena-cloud ?!?”).

thank-you for your attention. brieucs.

So, I have created a Murena-account from a Debian-PC.
When I try to access/create the corresponding murena.io account in the eOS-phone, after many essays, through settings-accounts, I have the answer “no possible access to calDAV or cardDAV”, with a zip file for diagnostic, I don’t know how to get.
((le cloud, c’est la galère!)).

I tried an other time, and finally, I got access to my workspace from the phone ! Probably a recurrent error on coding manually the password …

I have asked somewhere to synchronize notes, agenda, contacts, tasks, but not mail, photos, videos, nor music. Where can I verify this option ?

If I look to my murena-workspace through my computer-browser, the supposed synchronized data are empty:

ok, Notes is used locally to the phone, my actual Agenda is local, and my Contacts are synchronized only if I ask for synchronize all data of the phone (?). Where can I specify what I need ?

=>So, the 1-st post here has been resolved by a turnaround, I will try to understand what synchronize means to Murena, and wants also to explore the new backup, if available. I will have to learn how to live in a cloud

Additionnal details :

  • It turns out that there is a local and a cloud agenda, idem for tasks, idem for notes, idem for contacts.
  • on settings, accounts, you can specify what to synchronize, but /e/OS reset all behind my back, he wants to sync all ! ;-(

PS: what is hard-won has more value !
