@Manoj Currently e/OS Messages is currently at version 3 something. The QUIK project [also a continuation of QKSMS just like messages] is at version 4.3 which can add a bit more functionality to messages, to include the ability to send voice messages as well as send any type of file. I would also request that the old delete option be restored as people don’t always want their texts to be flooded with memes.

I just found out about this app because of your post. After using it for only a few minutes, I completely agree. Having emoji reactions handled correctly is a feature I’ve missed ever since switching to /e/ OS. This app handles it like a charm.

@Gquirt @Manoj That’s great to hear. The QUIK team did a great job of continuing the QKSMS project. Speech-to-text and Text-to-Speech is also built into the app. You can add voice messages too and more. And yes, you are spot on about emojis. Since e/OS messages is built on a version of QKSMS, it seems a logical choice to enhance e/OS without radically changing messages and keeping what people already know.
I have passed the details and link to the development team to evaluate and respond.

I am. It’s also solved a longstanding issue where I couldn’t send images over text. I also like having people with different colors, rather than everything just being blue.
