This is a new post, because the old one was closed without a fix. The issue still exists in e/os version 3.7.3 …
I had this once (I don’t get many calls). And that Signal calls do generally not appear in the caller is an additional phenomenon.
But it should be the case that all incoming calls do appear in the notification area. And the notification should then have a read and a green button. So when you hear a ringtone and you don’t see the caller coming up the notification area is always your friend.
I have had the same issue occur on the FP5 on multiple versions up to 3.6 and it was never addressed or fixed by Murena. I have mentioned it in the patch notes topics and also there no answer.
Where are the patch notes topics?
This issue is still NOT fixed in e/os version 4.2-a16

Still not fixed in 4.2 (Fairphone 6)! How can absolute basics like seeing if someone calls not be their absolute top priority to fix within hours and not months/years?

@tmmls Do you mean NOTHING is showing? Not even a ‘small’ tile with call details showing a green ‘answer’ button and a red one to ‘decline’?
Hi, thanks for the quick reply (sorry for my slightly frustrated post trying to help my dad). Yes it diverges from the other post in the sense that nothing at all is shown, no call notification/tile when the phone is unlocked (over other apps/on the home screen). The notification is still shown when you swipe down. I also have compared to my Fairphone 6 and I do get the call notification, so I know how it “should” work. So perhaps it’s because of some setting?
I’ve checked that all notifications are on and that the phone app is allowed to be displayed over other apps, and that do not disturb is off.
Stab in the dark, if you compare your and dad’s phone is this setting exactly the same?
(I know it should be only about the lock screen but you need to start /again/ somewhere.)

Is the Pop On Screen actually switched on (to the right) in incoming call options under phone app’s notifications?:
I like the checklist in Post #12 it was surprising to me quite how many things (or combination of things) might cause this.
Just a thought, in checking a family member phone I might check Modes. If one were to edit a Mode but “get lost” then the “wrong” settings could be very difficult to spot.
One might watch an incoming call in Safe mode to see whether a third party installed app might be responsibe.
