as the last builds of /e/OS for santoni/land are quite outdated and LineageOS has revived their builds (device Mi8937) on LOS20, can and will /e/OS restart support as well?

raise this in the most current development-updates entry or the gitlab backlog to clarify how the variants of Mi8937 can be accessed. They used their device names santoni/land in the past, not sure if for A12 it should be at Mi8937/ now (like at Mi8917) or device codenames still.
The Mi8937 target is incorporated in s-dev-builds - maybe the variants pose an issue?
This seems a work in progress for the /e/ dev team, but contributors here are asked not to link testing builds (which I now found). Owners of these devices with some experience of custom ROMs might consider making contact with the testing team https://doc.e.foundation/testers
Regarding “lineage” codename Mi8937
I find a device tree at Lineage19.1 and Lineage20 here

Glad to see that my old - but still working - Redmi 4X received A13 but I would have preferred to have it for the A2 “jasmine_sprout” instead…
