Revolut and other banking apps on pixel 8 pro

Hi everyone,

I am new to /e/OS, which I installed on a Pixel 8 Pro. I have noticed that banking apps like Revolut are not working and I wonder whether locking its bootloader can solve this issue.

Any help would be more than appreciated.

At the moment and also future (in my opinion), you will not be able to use Revolut on the Pixel 8 pro.

Right now /e/OS and Revolut are only compatible with ‘official’ build and a locked bootloader (it doesn’t work even on Pixel 8 which has these circumstances).

Pixel 8 pro has ‘community’ build which can’t be locked.

You will have to find other options how to use Revolut with /e/OS or you don’t use the OS or don’t use Revolut, etc. Some had success with rooting, with which I am not familiar with.

i remember have read that modify build.prop can fake a locked boot loader
by replacing “test-key”, “user-debug” values and a few others

I guess somewhere here can be checked if it does or not. I remember that I read it isn’t enough.
