There is an annoying problem.
I have set the volume for ringtones and notifications to 1/7, but it seems to be set to 5/7, when I compare with other phones. It’s really too loud.
And since it’s already at 1, there’s no way to lower the volume.
I tried the option “increasing ring volume” because in this options at the lowest, the volume seems to be at 1/7, but this option seems to be ignored, it does not change the ring volume.
It’s still too loud, I have to set the phone to vibrate only.
We have lost our warning in the instructions which used to say:
Caution: Do not install /e/OS on top of a higher version of stock OS. Before installing /e/OS ensure your device has the latest stock OS of the same version as /e/OS. If only lower versions of the stock are available then install the last available lower version before installing /e/OS.
You had first installed something like
e-1.4-r-20220922220394-dev-alioth, I think. Confirmed from Settings > About phone > Android version > /e/OS version | Long press to copy to clipboard. (The -r signifies Android R.)
I do not know the device, but are the “Stock firmwares” R or S?
You do not want to use /e/ to make a downgrade of Android version. You should try to do this within the manufacturer system, to ensure you have all the right hardware links available within the device.
Hello,
Indeed, I realized that following a LineageOS doc was not the best idea, since Lineage 19 is under Android 12. So I decided to go back to the stock rom under Android 11, that is MIUI 12.5.8.0 (RKHEUXM)
Well, even in MIUI, I find that the sound is also very loud. On the other hand, the sound setting is not limited to 7 levels, it’s much finer, which allows to have a normal sound by lowering above level 1 (the level 1 of /e/).
And so, I’m back with the same sound problem as before, the level 1 is too loud and no way to lower the sound more.
It would be great to have the possibility to adjust the sound more finely.
For the moment, to workaround this problem, I modified my notification and ring files (mp3) by lowering the volume of the file. (normalizing)
