S10e how to update from OS-T (Android 13) to OS-V (Android 15)

Hi, looking for confirmation of how to update OS-T to OS-V. I have 3 questions:

  1. Will this happen OTA since the s10e is part of this list? OR
  2. Do I need to manually install the ROM?
  3. Is it safe to do so currently, or should I wait a couple of weeks? As per these posts

I’ve updated Android versions successfully before but since things change a lot I’m unclear (previous update questions here)

Except for some Murena supported devices, OS upgrade don’t comes OTA for /e/ supported devices.

Yes, but this time there is no need to go back to a stock ROM, I am fairly confident that your Vendor firmware will be fully up to date with recent /e/OS updates at AOSP 13 (T).

Should you wait 14 days or so … certainly … wait and see is more easy than trying to find a fix to some minor problem.

I am in the process of upgrading this device model as well but I am getting an issue:

Update process within eOS recovery aborts with saying current SPL: 2025-06-05 | Target SPL 2025-06-01 this is considered a downgrade.

I am on latest 3.0.4 with Android 13 and wanted to upgrade to 15.

Edit:
Just tried to upgrade via “local update” option in system UI but after restart it just ends in the same screen. Though interesting to know this is possible at all.

This error is probably secondary to your main issue which looks as if it might be because you did not first upgrade your recovery. It is likely that an a13 recovery cannot sideload an a14 system – is this what you attempted?
