S20+ 5g SM-986B/DS y2s stucks in recovery

Using /e/OS Troubleshooting

Hi,

I followed the instructions to complete the installation of /e/os on a s20+5g, and it worked fine i think, but after clicking “Reboot system now,” (the last step in guide) to boot in /e/os the smartphone boots into recovery mode loop. Any idea what might be causing this?

Pauses at 47% until the smartphone finishes patching, then skips to the end

cmd finish download with:

xfer: 1.00x

at the end stucks in the loop “Reboot system now” → Recovery → “Reboot System now”

All the signs seem like a success.

First boot is hard work. Is the battery charge level > 65% specified? (or 85% might be better).

Try Factory reset from e-Recovery. It will take another go at First boot of /e/OS.

Ideally it would take at least a few minutes to complete First boot.

I tried the following but no change: recovery → factory resert →format data/factory reset (no format cache partition, no format system partition)→ back → Reboot system now

any other idea what could be the problem, may be the version of bootloader or timing
